Projects in Early Childhood

 

Some of the most magical learning happens when educators are tuned in to children’s interests and facilitate and extend them to create authentic and dynamic curriculum opportunities.

 

  • What does the project approach look like in early childhood?
  • Is it the same as inquiry-based learning?
  • How is it different to a theme-based approach?
  • How does the Reggio Emilia approach link to projects?
  • Do we have to use projects to Exceed the NQS?


This session will provide answers to these questions and some examples of interesting and effective projects. It will include opportunities to work with other participants to brainstorm how children’s interests might be extended and supported into a project.
