Exceeding National Quality Standards (NQS) is a significant achievement that requires a deep commitment to innovation, a willingness to implement best practice and courageous leadership that holds high expectations for all. Leaders and educators striving for quality at this level must be well-informed, highly articulate and adopt a growth mindset.
In this interactive workshop, leaders will explore the Exceeding Themes in detail – what they mean and how they are demonstrated in everyday practice. Using practice examples from lived experience, we will identify a path towards exemplary practice that is sustained and joyous! We will discuss the assessment and rating visit and how authorised officers will use ‘observe, discuss and sight’ methods to collect evidence of all three exceeding themes in order to rate a standard as Exceeding NQS. Bring your questions and queries.
