Victoria sets the standard in early learning

Victoria has once again demonstrated its leadership in early childhood education and care, with 95% of services meeting or exceeding the National Quality Framework (NQF). This result, highlighted in the NQF Q3 Snapshot, showcases the state’s strong performance in delivering quality education and care to children and families.

The NQF sets the standard for early childhood services across seven key quality areas, including educational programs, physical environments, and relationships with children. Victoria’s performance surpasses the national average, reflecting the dedication of the state’s services to achieving high-quality outcomes.

“This report highlights the hard work and commitment of Victorian educators and providers,” said ACA Victoria President, Tonii Tran. “It’s encouraging to see these efforts reflected in the data, demonstrating our sector’s focus on creating positive learning environments for children.”

ACA Victoria acknowledges the efforts of the early learning services and educators who have contributed to this result. Their commitment to quality, supported by professional development, collaboration, and engagement with families and communities, continues to ensure that children in Victoria benefit from positive early learning experiences.

As the peak body for long day early childhood education and care services, ACA Victoria will continue to support the sector to maintain and enhance these high standards.

This milestone is a reminder of the importance of strong, collaborative efforts across the sector to deliver the best outcomes for children and families.
