As part of the ongoing Best Start, Best Life (BSBL) reforms, the Victorian Government has undertaken significant consultation with the sector. ACA National President, Paul Mondo, has been a part of the BSBL Technical Advisory Group which provides advice to the Government on all aspects of the reform.

In December 2023 the Best Start, Best Life Workforce Strategy: Continuing to value and grow the kindergarten workforce was released by the Minister for Children, the Hon Lizzie Blandthorn MP. This was in addition to the consultation report released the previous month.

This is the third phase in the Victorian Government’s collaborative approach to attracting and retaining our kindergarten workforce and builds on the important work being led by the sector to support our early childhood workforce.

The strategy sets out new initiatives under six areas for action in response to what the Best Start, Best Life Taskforce Advisory Group has heard in recent consultations.
