About the session: 1.00pm - 2.00pm Day 2

Sharyn Enright, Early Childhood Consultant
Managing behaviours of concern

On a daily basis, one of the biggest challenges faced by early childhood educators is managing the emotions and behaviours of young children.

Often when behaviour becomes the focus of concern, it is because the behaviour is impacting on the child’s ability to access learning opportunities or it may be affecting someone else’s opportunities.

This session will support participants to understand the educator’s role in developing responsive and respectful relationships with children and gain insights into supporting children to develop self-regulation skills and by promoting positive social behaviours with all children; in turn maintaining the dignity and rights of every child.
